What happened
A customer bought a dress. She tried it on at home, decided it was not the right cut, folded it back into the bag, and returned it within 14 days. The CleverSeal is intact. The tags are attached. There is no perfume, no makeup, no visible wear.
What the webshop should consider
This is exactly what the CRD protects. Recital 47 explicitly permits the consumer to handle the goods as they would in a physical shop. Trying on a dress is a normal shop-floor action.
Process a full refund within 14 days. Do not deduct anything.
Relevant legislation
Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 14(2) and Recital 47.
